Will these fit on the rear without rubbing or do I need to get the smaller Nitto's?

Anyone have firsthand knowledge?

No first hand knowledge but I don't think they will even fit on the stock wheels (if that's what you are putting them on). Otherwise offset and wheel size will determine whether or not they will fit.

i have 245/50/16 nitto drag radials on the back , they fit fine with no rubbing.

I am also not sure about the stock 16`s but I am running the 275/40/17`s and they are great sticky tires but dont expect very many miles out of them.

I've run those exact tires at the track on stock suspension. No issues at all, although the rear of the car did sit quite a bit higher.

They mount to the tires and fit on the car without rubbing. I'm running the same combo.

i have 255/50/16 in the rear. if you want the drag racing look. go for it. i think it looks great! it looks alittle funny if you car is not lower. I notice the handing is off. but its a good drag setup. i got three 6500 rpm launch until the clutch started to feel funny.

Would 255/50/16 fit in the front without rubbing fender liner using stock wheels?

Should be 26.1" in diameter instead of 24.9" so I am aware of the difference it will make the on the speedo.

Why? What are your wants/needs? Usage envelope (wet, dry, cold, snow, ice, dry track, wet track, autoX, etc)? Why do you *think* you want to run 255/50-16s up front?

255/50-16 is a crap size for the front for a few reasons:
Slightly pooched on an 8" wheel => bad for steering responsiveness and feel
Very tall sidewall => bad for steering responsiveness and feel
Big tire = heavy tire => bad for steering responsiveness and feel
Taller tire => increased brake pedal effort and travel required
Taller tire => higher c.g.

There's very little selection for street tires wider than 225 for 16" wheels. If you must have 255s, better off getting 17" wheels. But depending on your wants/needs/usage, there *might* be a 245/45-16 that will work for you, which would be an infinitely better size choice for the front of an FD than 255/50-16. IMHO!

That diameter is too large for the front of an FD unless you actually raise it up like a 4x4. It won't fit on a stock car without rubbing.
Rear yes, front no dice.
