I've had $5000 set aside in a savings account for roughly 6 years now specifically for the R-spec hood, searching all routes I could think of. Yahoo auctions Japan, Ramy, importers in New Zealand as well as Australia. I even resorted to offering people on this site a $500 finders payment just for getting me in touch with someone with that hood. To date, I have not been able to locate one. I officially ended my search last month, though. Gave up on it and spent the money on much needed house repairs.
I've all but given up on that hood. It is the unicorn of FD parts for me. The one that got away, in the truest sense
with my luck, watch someone post that they have one. . . . or a lead on one If so, looks like I get to hustle hardcore to make that money.

The FEED hood project is definitely our next FD project, but it will take a long time as we have to start from scratch again building the hood from an OEM hood.
This is an easier project because we already have the bumper and it's been test fitted and tweaked to perfection. Once we get enough customers, it will probably take 3 weeks to produce the mold and maybe have the first part out of the mold with a 1 per week production rate thereafter.
There was definitely a lot of steam rolling on facebook, but I needed to make sure here with deposits. We've got way too many projects going on to be messin around with a product that might or might not be popular. Don't get me wrong. I love this bumper, but we simply can't lose on a project.

Because I have found my unicorn, my holy grail of car parts, I am backing out of this project.
thank you for the opportunity to take part in it. I simply just can't afford both.
1. afgmoto1978 - Adam Griffith
2. RENESISFD - John Ambrosio
3. Brent Dalton

Update:
The mold for this bumper is complete. We're currently producing these at a rate of 1 per week. 1st bumper has been sent out. I have the 2nd bumper here being worked on. We're building 3-4 of these bumpers in Hybrid FRP. After that batch, we're going to experiment with a carbon accented version to see how doable and how much extra cost that will be as we have a few interested in seeing how those would turn out.
At the moment, here are the prices:
Front bumper in Hybrid FRP + FRP canards = $550. Upgrade to carbon or carbon-Kevlar canards for an additional $75 for the pair. Just let me know carbon or Kevlar weave is desired (Plain or Twill).
The bumper is $150 to ship to a business or $175 to residential (lower 48 states)
