rx7 mods

hi all,
new to this forum.
i drive a 600hp nissan skyline gtr,but i have just bought a 87 rx7 convertible 13b turbo auto as my everyday car.
i want to increase the performance of this car without throwing lots of money at it.
i was thinking,decent exhaust,aircleaner and boost increase.
am i heading down the right track.
any cheap mods anyone can suggest would be appreciated.
what sort of gains will i get and how far can i go with boost using standard ecu.

thanks all

Youre on the right track, just make sure you handle the fuel cut and use
larger injectors.

My opinion is that the weakest link on TII's is the wastegate and the fuel mangement in our ECU's.
What year is your turbo?
If it's 89+, it has a bigger wastgate. If its an 87 or 88, you need to port the crap out of it.
As far as fuel management goes, there is no cheap way to do that right.
The best affordable product is the Haltech.

Your going in the right dirrection. Rx's love to breath so u do the little things first Exhaust (3" down pipe decat),Air fillter,8Psi max on std fuel system. That is about it if you dont want to spend much money.

If you do welcome to the World of the RX7, to get big Bhp you will need to buy Ecu (Haltech E6k),1600cc injectors+rail, fuel pump,Ignition Booster,T04 Turbo,Fmic then Street port it uprate the Stationry gears and u will have a car that will pulling 11's on the 1/4 depends on the boost level.

HEALTH WARNING. Rx7's are adictive and in the wrong hands deadly.Lol
