rotary powered hotrods?
Anybody got pics or info on rotary powered hotrods, street rods, t-bucket's etc?
Am toying with the idea and doing a bit of a scout around but the field seems a bit light-on.
There was a 13b pp model A (I think it was) in australia a few years back but I think it was parted out for sale. Would like to see some pics of how people build them because the shorter engines could look weird and wrong if you don't fiddle with proportions. am particularly interested in t-buckets or rods built on Mazda b-series or hilux ute chassis.
Found this pic from a Sevenstock.... but it is more Cessna that model T.

I've been considering a rotary rat-rod for a while. But the main problem is the rodder community...good luck rollin a rotary into one of their meets...they'll hate you for life, lol.
I'm going to do it anyway though. I have a few Rat Rod buddies that are fully supporting this type of build.

The other option kicking is what used to pass for my brain is a 13b into a 63-65 Ford Falcon 'ute' (or 'utility - what we aussies call light trucks) - there is a moss and rust 'patina' encrusted one on the old man's garage.... so while I figure I'm going to hell regardless it might as well be a case of 'in for a penny, in for a pound!'

i agree, i have been thinking of Roto Rat Rod for a while, lately its been thinkng about rotaties in british roadsters or an old datson roadster. but a rat rod has come up. YOu would have to have a well built motor to mess with the other rodders though.

There should be pictures of 20b powered supercharged rat rods floating around the interwebs...I remember seeing several very nice and very clean cars of that example and like an idiot forgot to save the damn pictures. But from what I remember they were 20B powered complete with the 'traditional' charger and blower setup sticking up and out of the hood with an interesting intake design that looked both stable and functional.

i would love to build a rat rod truck, the only problem i would have is getting a title i think.that and i have no idea where to begin with making the car safe ie good breaks.
i found a web site that sells trucks and cars for projects. there from Dakota. the cars are mainly just the body, but they says they have a good dakota title. the trucks normally have the frame and motor some drive some dont. there willing to ship.

When I was in H.S. I saw a great looking model T pickup with a 13B. Looked a bit small. I would recommend keeping the hood sides on if you go that route. Very quick little truck though.

Rotary Rambler
Hi everyone,
Here are some pics of my current project. It's a 1960 Rambler American 2 door wagon. We dropped in a rebuilt street ported 13b-rew twin turbo engine..found the twins and its plumbing wouldnt fit very well because of the frame rails so I went with a single turbo, intercooled, Synapse 50mm wastegate and BOV. Running a Mazda 5 speed. I wanted a different car and when it came time to figure out a motor the rotary came to mind and the rest is history. Plan to run a Microtech..
I am looking for a oil fill tube for a Cosmo 13b-re. My engine is a USA version but a guy had the polished cosmo intake so I got it..now I need the Cosmo oil filler assy and the air elbow ( compressor tube ) that bolts to throttle body. Any one have this stuff let me know. Thanks. My Greddy elbow wont clear the oil tube.
